School Photography Schedule
Spring 2024
Cape Symphony Preschool: Thurs., May 2nd & Fri., May 3rd Cape Symphony Preschool is proof system this year, you will choose your pose(s) and package(s) after the photographs have been taken. Individual and group photographs will be ordered after photography day.
Joyful Noise: Mon., May 6th & Tues. May 7th Joyful Noise is proof system, you will choose your pose(s) and package(s) after the photographs have been taken. Individual and group photographs will be ordered after photography day.
JPII Preparatory Division 8th Grade Graduation: Tuesday, May 21, 2024 is the 8th Grade Class Group graduation photograph. We will also photograph any individuals that want individual graduation portraits in their gowns. Graduation portraits are prepay, you will pay online prior photography day using the Prepay link above. Password is ‘prepay’.
Fall 2024
Barnstable High School underclass photo days tbd (If you’re looking for senior photos, please click here!) BHS is prepay. You will pay online for photos prior to your student’s photography day(s). The school will email you information about photo days and ordering. You can also prepay for school portraits prior to the students photo day using this online link. The password to log in to order is “prepay”. Please see BHS information channel for schedule. Students will come for photos with their English classes, all English teachers have a copy of the photography schedule. Have your student check with them if they haven’t been told what day they are scheduled for. For late orders and reorders please using our online ordering link above. We also have a schedule at the studio, so if you’d like information on when your student is due to come, email us with your student’s English teacher and grade and we will send you their scheduled time. (The schedule is subject to change).

Make Ups and Retakes
Make Ups:
If you missed photo day, please check the schedule for the make up day and contact us or your home room teacher for more information about scheduling. If there are no make up dates scheduled, or if you have missed that too, please contact the studio for additional options.
Retakes:
All of our school photography is 100% guaranteed. We want you to be happy with your portraits. If for any reason you have a problem with your portraits, please contact us here at the Studio.
BHS make up/retakes tbd in the PAC from 8am – 11:00am. Get a pass from your Advisory or House Office. Please find make up order forms here. For retakes, all original packages must be returned on make up day or you will be charged.

Tips for a great photo day
Smile! But especially with the littler ones, don’t tell them to say ‘cheese’ or to be too stern about smiling or add pressure to what should be a fun event. We’ve always found that natural smiles are best, and that the best way to get a natural smile is for us to interact with your child. Tell them they’ll have fun, that the photographer is silly, that it’s going to be awesome, and then leave the rest to us!
Clothing: The best thing your student can wear is something they feel great wearing. If they feel good, they’ll look good! Makes our job easier. That said, we prefer bright colours, solids or minimal pattern, longer sleeves, when tops aren’t too low cut, ones that don’t have logos or words or hoods, or are too busy. If you don’t want your child to wear their jacket, sweater or hoodie, please tell them. We always ask, but sometimes the answer they give us is not the one you might want. If they’ve been told a preference at home, it usually rings a bell when they’re asked at school.
If your student has worn the same thing for every photo day for years, tell us that too, we photograph thousands of students each year, so we’d never notice, sadly, but we love to share stories like that!
Hair: Hair should be clean, in a style that is not brand new. Hair takes a couple of days to settle into a hair cut, so you should try to have cuts at least a few days prior to photo day. If your child’s hair is always in their eyes, it is not always easy to keep it out for the portraits! Especially those little ones. Make sure we can see their sweet little faces! And please, don’t come to your photo session with wet hair!
Glasses: Some particularly reflective glasses will show glare in the final portraits. We work very hard to remove glare whenever possible, but sometimes the total removal is not a possibility. In outdoor photos, transition lenses darken very quickly, please make suitable arrangements for photo day if you don’t want dark glasses.
