I photographed Andrew & Lisa’s wedding four years ago (they were my last wedding!), and Andrew’s senior portraits at Dowses beach a few years before that, so I’ve known and loved these two for years!!! We had such a blast photographing this new exciting part of their journey, the one that turns them into a family! They traveled to the Cape for their maternity portraits so we went on an adventure!
I wasn’t expecting to take over 500 images, but we were just having such fun!! It did make my editing a little hard, they’re so darn cute in all of them! We started photographing at my studio in Hyannis, and then did a Main Street stroll. We’d taken their love story session in Hyannis, so it was funny that the photo in the background of some of the photos was the actual location of some of their fave images from that session! (I’ll do another post on those pix). We couldn’t have been luckier at the garden, it was perfect daffodil time, so after a little grunge, we got a little pretty. Perfect!
That image where they’re sitting in front of the daffodils literally brought tears to my eyes when I saw it, there is just such love and tenderness captured, they are going to be the best parents. This little soul who will be joining us soon is so lucky to have them. Can’t wait to meet the wee one!
Ah, Cape Cod, a perfect place for all portraits, especially maternity!
isn’t it time for your portrait?
